Saffron poached pear in a Christas dish with natural lighting

Soft, golden, and naturally sweet, these saffron-poached pears are a simple ritual with an elevated feel.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium organic bosc pears, peeled.

  • 3 cups filtered water

  • ½ cup raw organic honey or organic maple syrup

  • 2 tbsp (or 2 sachets)The Fullest Saffron Latte Powder

  • 1 organic cinnamon stick

  • 1 organic vanilla bean (or 1 tsp organic vanilla extract)

  • Zest of 1 organic orange

  • Pinch organic sea salt

  • For Plating: organic toasted pistachios, organic yogurt or organic coconut cream

Instructions

  1. Infuse Syrup: In a large saucepan, simmer water, honey/maple, saffron powder, cinnamon, vanilla, orange zest, salt for 5 min.

  2. Poach Pears: Add pears to the pot with water. Simmer for another 15–20 min, turning occasionally. Avoid boiling to keep pears intacts and prevent them from getting mushy.

  3. Rest: Remove from heat; let sit in syrup 10 min.

  4. Serve: Plate pears with cream or yogurt at the bottom, top with poached pear and drizzle the saffron syrup on top. Finish with toppings.
