Stay
1 Hotel
The 1 Hotel is a chain with properties around the country committed to sustainability. Every room has organic cotton sheets and mattresses, along with filtered water. It’s a very family-oriented option — they are pet friendly and offer residences for larger groups. Not to mention, 1 Hotel is home to Miami’s only beachfront rooftop pool. Their holistic spa bases every treatment on a heartfelt connection with nature. If you’re flying solo or traveling with a family, 1 Hotel is worth booking!
The Edition
The Edition Hotel in South Beach is an oceanfront hotel featuring one of our favorite restaurants, Matador Room, by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. It offers a minimalist Miami vibe that makes you feel instantly at ease the moment you walk into the lobby. The rooms are small and super minimal — perfect for couples, single travelers, and friends. (If you’re looking for something more family-friendly, we would suggest 1 Hotel.)
Faena Hotel
Faena definitely won us over with its South American influence, featuring a wonderful organic menu for brunch and dinner. Not to mention, Tierra Santa Healing House offers holistic treatments and houses one of the largest hammams on the East Coast. The lavish oceanfront property also has some seriously wow-worthy art (be sure to check out Damien Hirst).
Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club
If you’re looking for something located outside of South Beach and closer to Bal Harbour Shops, this is the spot. This oceanfront property spans across nine acres of white sand, features two outdoor pools with cabanas, boasts flawless interiors, a world class spa, and three restaurants.
Palihouse Miami Beach
Although not oceanfront, Palihouse Miami Beach offers oversized residential-style rooms and studios, with the majority including kitchenettes. They offer a beach butler service that includes round-trip transportation to and from some of their favorite local Miami Beach spots. The service also provides towels, umbrellas, beach chairs, and upon request, cooler bag lunches. You can also explore Miami Beach on one of their house bicycles.
Soho House
Soho Beach House sits oceanfront with a pool steps from its private beach. This property features their in-house spa brand, Cowshed, offering body, face, and maternal treatments that are definitely worth booking in advance. While making your reservations, be sure to also book a table at their other in-house restaurant chain, Cecconi’s Restaurant. You won’t be disappointed!
Eat
Cecconi’s Miami Beach
Situated on the Ground Floor Courtyard of Soho House, Cecconi’s is a foodie’s must-do. Their menu ranges from breakfast through dinner, offering vegetarian, plant-based, and gluten-free options. There are organic and biodynamic offerings for those browsing the wine menu.
Casa Tua
Although considered a luxury dining experience, Casa Tua has a familiar hint of home. We obviously love this restaurant for its organic menu and ethically-sourced ingredients, but the impressive art collection and patio’s lush garden make dining here all worthwhile. We must mention the incredible service too! Stop by for soulful cuisine surrounded by a homey lantern-lit terrace.
Le Jardinier
Chef Alain Verzeroli created Le Jardinier’s menu with vegetable-forward intention. Dishes offer local and seasonal fruits, vegetables, and herbs while complemented with sustainable seafood, poultry, and meat. The onsite garden is an extra reason to book a reservation!
Matador Room
With ocean and poolside views, Matador Terrace features Jean-Georges’ interpretation of Latin and Caribbean fare prepared with fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients. Located inside The Edition, Matador Room is worth dining for those traveling or residential.
Upland
Upland’s menu is mostly California-inspired cuisine — ranging from pizza, pasta, salads, vegetable dishes, and seafood. The minimal but clean aesthetic is most definitely Instagram-worthy.
Lido Restaurant at The Surf Club
Lido Restaurant at The Surf Club celebrates its place as the best oceanfront dining experience in the Miami Beaches. Michael White, the chef behind Michelin-starred spots in New York City, brings his stylized and sophisticated coastal Italian cuisine to a Miami icon. They focus on organic and seasonal ingredients with a vibrant dining experience.
Mandolin
Located in the Miami Design District, Mandolin offers clean, simple Greek food with great ambience. Ideal for brunch or a quick dinner!
Mr. Mandolin
Crafted from the creators of Mandolin, their offshoot sister restaurant, Mr. Mandolin, is a gyro & kebab house with organically sourced ingredients. We love this spot for lunch!
Pura Vida
Pura Vida values quality & health, which is why we love this spot for organic smoothie bowls, veggie bowls, salads, and wraps. There is an option for everyone — you can literally taste the love and intention put into each and every order!
La Natural
La Natural’s simplistic aesthetic pairs rather well with their delectable sourdough-based pizzas and natural wine. A funky playlist is always on, so we suggest dining in — but be sure to scope their hours prior to visiting, as they are only open Wednesday through Sunday.
Shop
Miami Design District
Miami Design District is a creative neighborhood & shopping destination dedicated to innovative fashion, design, art, architecture & dining. Markets and events are constantly popping up — so be sure to scope their event calendar before your visit! Dine, shop, or jaunt around — there’s always something to do!
Bal Harbour Shops
Bal Harbour Shops is a Miami must-do! This open-air oasis hosts luxury boutiques and idyllic dining surrounded by a lush tropical landscape. It’s worth perusing, even if you aren’t looking to buy anything!
Visit
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
This 83-acre estate includes a museum, a historic house, and formal gardens. It’s a great day activity and perfect for the whole family. Tickets are required; we suggest purchasing them online beforehand!
