Welcome to our very first episode of Well Examined, our newest podcast hosted by integrative health specialist and citizen scientist Christine Dionese.
We don’t have to tell you that wellness in 2019 is a double-edged sword. On the one hand we have access to more information and choices than ever before… and on the other we’re totally drowning in information and unsure of who to trust.
This series helps us question our own beliefs and group thinking by exploring unconventional wellness perspectives. Maybe we’ll end up at the same conclusion, maybe we’ll do a total 360 on our diets, or maybe we’ll land somewhere in between. No matter what though, we’re bound to come out as empowered, critical thinkers advocating for our own health… like champs.
For our first ep, we’re sitting down with Jena Covello, creatrix and founder of luxe non-toxic skincare line Agent Nateur. A fierce but benevolent disruptor, after she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis, Jena took inventory of her beauty products and realized non-toxic deodorant simply didn’t exist. She took matters into her own hands and started cooking her own natural deodorant — free of endocrine disruptors — in her kitchen. Fast forward to today and Jena’s high-end beauty line has been featured everywhere from Vogue to Hypebae. Join us this week as we examine wellness from all sides of the spectrum!
