While it may seem a bit unexpected, the floral notes from the lavender play so nicely with the bitter matcha in this lovely latte. This is my morning beverage of choice, and one that I also like to make for friends when they come over for tea. Anyone I have made this for has always been pleasantly surprised by the subtle flavor of the lavender. I typically find dried lavender at my local farm stand in the summer, but you can also source it in a regular grocery store or online. When I do find it, I like to stock up. It lasts forever, and a little goes a long way.

1 cup Cashew, Almond, or Macadamia Milk

½ cup Water

1 teaspoon Matcha Green Tea Powder

Pinch or two of Dried Lavender

1 | Put the milk, water, and matcha in a medium saucepan over medium heat and whisk vigorously to dissolve the matcha and break up any clumps.

2 | Add the lavender, bring to a boil, turn the heat to low, and simmer for a couple of minutes.

3 | Strain the lavender, or just fish it out using a spoon, and pour the beverage into a mug.

*Makes 1 latte.
