Yoga to Make Time Stand Still

Atha yoga anushasanam. Now, the teachings of yoga.—Yoga Sutra 1.1

The state of yoga is in the Now. In reality, the Now is all we ever have; time doesn’t even really exist. Most of us worry about the future or get lost in the past. When we focus on our breath and posture, we don’t have time to think of these things. While we practice postures and breath, we also practice being present.

As we practice “I Am” instead of “I Was” or “I Will Be” in our class today, we will flow as we honor the moment.
