Berry Botox: Antioxidant Fruit Salad

Fruit salad has a pretty minor role as a party dish and is often not that exciting.  Its namesake exudes “healthy” when most often, it’s not. Canned renditions are an easy substitute and seem harmless.

Poppy + Seed believes there are no small parts. Less is more. Promoting locally-sourced and seasonal items is the way to go.

Usually filled with sugar, this buffet line staple can have a bad rap, but we’re putting simplicity back into what will easily be a new favorite. Using antioxidant-rich berries and raw local honey, this recipe is sure to give your Aunt’s version a run for her money. Packed with immunity boosting berries, this is also recommended as a great breakfast dish!

FRUIT SALAD

| INGREDIENTS |

  • 16 Quartered Strawberries
  • 2- 4.4oz package of Blueberries
  • 2- 6oz package of Raspberries

| PROCESS |

Juice 2-3 oranges and add 2 Tbsp local raw honey

For more flavor or garnish, add 2 Tbsp minced fresh mint OR 2 tsp lemon zest
