Surya Namaskara is a series of poses, sometimes called a “vinyasa.” It translates to “Salute to the Sun” and is used to warm up the body. The Sun Salutation can be a complete practice in itself! As we connect our breath with each movement, the practice becomes more focused and aligned. The practice turns into a moving meditation, allowing us to let go of outside distractions. This coming back to our breath trains our body and mind to be at peace with our emotions. Try starting your day with morning Sun Salutes to get your body moving, and your lymphs flowing! Below is a Sun Salutation video tutorial to help you do just that!
